Sending USSD command
The USSD command is another type of instant messaging in GSM network. The abonent types
a code (beginning with a star and ending with a dash) and the operator answers with a short
message. USSD is mostly used in mobile operator's services, such as request the balance
(*100#) or pay for some service. The USSD command can be useful for the automatical order
of SMS packets.
To send USSD command from Headwind GSM Modem Driver, select "Send USSD" in the main menu,
type the USSD code in a corresponding window and click "Send". The code will be delivered to
the operator. If you select a flag "Enable reply to USSD command", the operator reply will
be delivered to you as a balloon tip.
Not all GSM devices support USSD services over a modem connection. See
modem properties for details.
