What is Headwind GSM Modem Driver?

Headwind GSM modem driver is a program for sending and receiving SMS through a GSM device connected to your computer.

Step 1: connect the device to the PC

If you are using Bluetooth connection, plug the Bluetooth dongle into the USB port of your computer, or enable Bluetooth on your laptop. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone and setup the connection. More details...

If you are using USB cable connection, connect the device and the PC through USB. Install the software coming with the GSM device first, otherwise the connection may fail!

Step 2: install and configure Headwind GSM Modem Driver

Select the available GSM device in the connection wizard. The communication port will be setup automatically.

Step 3: connect with the device

Click the blue icon in the system tray by right mouse button and select "Connect" in the popup menu. If the connection is successful, you will get a message "Connected to COM". Do not worry if you will get a warning message "It is recommended to setup the modem manually", this may be because the device does not support some features, but you can send SMS through it anyway.

Step 4: test SMS facility

Click the blue icon in the system tray by right mouse button and select "Send SMS" in the popup menu. Type the number of a SIM card installed in the GSM device and the message text, then click "Send". If everything is OK, you will get a balloon tip about the reception of a new message shortly.
