Setting up a GSM modem connection

The first step is the installation of the GSM modem and the device drivers in accordance with its manual.

After the modem is installed, select Start->Control Panel->Phone and modem options. A window with currently installed modems must appear.

Find the installed modem in the "Modems" tab, then click "Properties". A window with modem properties must appear.

The serial port name and the baud rate are found in the "Modem" tab. Setup these parameters in the control panel of Headwind GSM Modem Driver (you may reduce the baud rate if it is too high).
