Access to the modem memory

Headwind GSM modem driver allows to view messages stored in the modem memory. The memory can be accessed only when the connection with the modem is established. To open the memory management window, double-click the application icon in the tray and select the "Memory" tab in the control panel. The memory tab contains the "Memory type" combo box, the list of messages and the control buttons.

Selecting the memory type

The "Memory type" combo box contains the following options: "Default" means the default memory used by the phone, "SIM Card" means the SIM card memory (SM), "Phone" means the phone memory (ME) and "Both" means the combined memory (MT). The latter may be not supported by some mobile devices. Select the memory type and click "Refresh", the list of messages will be automatically filled in some seconds.

Managing the modem memory

The messages are sorted by their index in the modem memory. A flag "unread" is set for unread messages. The message can be viewed by double-clicking an item in a list or by selecting an item and clicking "Open". To remove some messages, select them and press the "Delete" button. All messages can be deleted by clicking "Flush".
