SMS boxes

The incoming and outgoing short messages are stored in SMS boxes. The boxes are accessible from the application control panel. There are four SMS boxes in Headwind GSM modem driver: inbox, outbox, sent messages, failed messages.

Inbox

The inbox contains the list of incoming SMS sorted by date. Every SMS may be opened by double-clicking the item or by selecting the item and clicking "Open" button. Unhandled SMS may be handled manually by selecting them and pressing "Handle" (this may be necessary after the setup of a new handler).

The short messages may be deleted from the list (by clicking the "Delete" button) or all list may be cleared (by clicking the "Flush" button).

Outbox

This box contains messages which were submitted for sending, but were not yet sent (for example, if the modem was not connected). You can open a message, delete messages from the list or clear the list. When the message is sent, it leaves this list automatically.

Sent messages

The "Sent messages" box contains the list of sent messages. You can open a message, delete messages from the list or clear the list.

Failed messages

When an error occurs during sending a message, the message is stored in the "Failed messages" box. To resend a message, fix an error, select the item in the list and click "Resend".
